Your Voice Matters Podcasts Workshop For Seniors
NCV invited speakers from parliament to the Persian Centre, North Kensington to present a workshop for migrant seniors.
The workshop is part of our training and selection process for the current Your Voice Matters Podcasts series.
You can see photos from this day and others here.
The Your Voice Matters Podcasts is now in it's second series, the
Young Voices series being the first.
This project is funded by the Community Fund.

Faik Hanna -- NCV Director
Congratulations and a huge "Thank-you!" to NCV Director Faik M Hanna. Faik has been a part of the team at New Citizens
Voice for over ten years (since 2008). From Baghdad but now widely travelled, he brings a perspective of many different
countries to the NCV Team.
Faik contributes to NCV as a journalist and photographer, though considers these simply as personal hobbies. His
wonderful photographs fill many of our galleries and bring a lot of joy to participants of NCV events.

New Citizens Resumes Parliament Tours and Workshops
The restrictions imposed for coronavirus have now been lifted and NCV is resuming it's highly successful programme
of interactive workshops and tours of Parliament.

NCV is once again delivering face-to-face training and producing a new podcast series for December 2021, in partnership with
Morley Radio and funded by the Community Fund.

New Citizens Radio is going digital!
This summer we are producing two series of podcasts for new citizens.
The "Young Voices" project is funded by Comic Relief, Black Training and Enterprise Group and National Emergencies Trust. A podcast series "Your Voice Matters"
for adults follows later in the year and is supported by the Community Fund.
Thanks to the funding of all our sponsors NCV continues it's mission to educate and inform young and adult migrants living in the UK, now using this popular
digital format.

New Citizens Voice has been awarded funding from The National Lottery Community Fund for the seventh consecutive time. This grant is to create another innovative project "Migrant Domestic Workers Society". More details to follow.

New Citizens Voice has been awarded repeat funding from Awards for All from the Big Lottery Fund. This is to create citizenship workshops for unskilled migrant parents living in London. The workshops will be delivered in the Houses of Parliament in 2016. We would like to thank Awards for All for their help and assistance.

In partnership with Parliament we will be delivering a large Your Voice Matters event to 80 people from 20 nationalities.

Our events are always following by a guided tour of Parliament. We are now fully booked but we will have more events later in the year.

Thank you to the Westminster Adult education Colleges and NOVA for recommending and bringing their ESOL students. And thanks go out to all participants who gave excellent feedback and as they found it useful now they are recommending their friends and family to attend as well. We can only deliver these unique citizenship events thanks to our partnership with Parliament. Special thanks go to Eleanor Laing, one of the Deputy Speakers of the House of Commons for attending our event - our participants enjoyed speaking with her.

New Citizens Voice has been accepted as an official Parliament Week partner. We will be running 'Your Voice Matters' events and activities to form a part of a major programme across the UK, outside of Westminster. This ensures that people across the country are getting involved with their local community.
Parliament Week 2013 will run from 15-21 November.
